The Neonatology Unit of Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre has come a long way since its inception. It began within the Department of Pediatrics in 1988 and grew into an independent unit in 2004. Today, it meets the growing demands of specialized newborn care with expertise, compassion, and care.
Every year, we manage close to 4,000 intramural births, providing care for around 2,000 inpatient babies and 6,000 outpatient babies. These numbers are more than just figures – they showcase the potential and the commitment of our team towards newborn health and family care.
Infrastructure
Our Neonatology unit is designed to provide comfort with high-quality care for our patients. The unit features a low-cost centre and a paying unit, each with an equal number of beds.
