About the Department
SRIHER’s Department of Radiology has been recognized by the European Training Assessment Programme (ETAP 2.0). We were awarded the Silver Certificate of Excellence in Radiology Education, becoming the first in Asia to achieve this proud honor.
The Centre of Excellence in Radiology and Imaging Science (CERIS) is a state-of-the-art department in the field. Our consultants are skilled in Musculoskeletal Imaging, Women’s Imaging, Neuroradiology, Chest Imaging, and Abdominal Imaging.
With state-of-the-art equipment, we conduct radio-diagnostic procedures and image-guided interventions. This includes drainage and biopsy procedures.
Facilities at CERIS
Operationally, we streamline processes through our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Computers and networks are used for the storage, retrieval, distribution, and presentation of images hospital wide.
In addition to our clinical offerings, we also offer educational courses to build future experts in the field. Students are exposed to a structured and diverse learning environment. Senior faculty (within India and overseas) are often invited as guest speakers here. They conduct workshops, seminars, and lectures that provide students with a global medical perspective.
We conduct monthly interdepartmental meetings, each led by a radiologist assigned to that specialty. Our consultants and post-graduates actively participate in the presentation and discussion of cases. Furthermore, our consultants are involved in Camps and Tele-radiology consultations, helping us in our goal to provide care to more people.
