About the Department
Inaugurated in 1986, the Department of General Surgery is a core department of Sri Ramachandra University. We cater to over 10,000 patients (inpatients and outpatients) annually, as highlighted in the IP and OP census.
Our eminent team of Senior Consultants and Consultants contribute their expertise in advanced laparoscopic procedures. We collaborate with other departments to provide patients the best outcomes with minimal complications.
With 8 units operating 24/7, we ensure timely and responsive care for both planned and emergency cases. We operate a minimum of 4 ORs exclusively for general surgery daily. This enables us to carry out multiple-day procedures without compromise.
A commitment to constantly improve is a core aspect of our department. This value is shared across the department from faculty to consultants to our post-graduate students. This foundation shapes our surgical training, preparing students for path-breaking careers in surgery.
