About the Department

Established in 2008, our Paediatric Hemato-Oncology department has evolved into a trusted center for cancer treatment. Our team offers compassionate and specialized care for young patients with cancer and blood disorders. Each year, around 100 new patients visit us, trusting our treatment and care.

Cancers in children are extremely different from adult cancers. Childhood cancers come with unique issues that require individualized and specialized treatment. Our team of paediatric oncologists is aware of the emotional, psychological, and developmental effects of cancer on children. They approach treatment with sensitivity and care, ensuring to address a child’s recovery, self-worth, development, and the long-term effects of cancer.

Thanks to advancements in treatment, survival rates for most childhood cancers are above 80%. Our oncology specialists meet the demands of today’s comprehensive 360-degree treatment and approach. The combination of expertise, compassion, and dedication defines our team’s tireless efforts to ensure children receive effective treatment that supports their growth, recovery, and future.
