ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Radiation Oncology was inaugurated on 27th January 2017. We provide effective care to patients through our combined strength of expert oncological treatment and advanced radiation technology. Our next-generation Radiotherapy unit features high-end systems that support world-class quality oncological care.

1. VERSA HD digital LINAC from M/s Elekta – Modern linear accelerator
2. 160 leaf MLC agility with the highest leaf speed (first in Tamil Nadu)
3. Robotic 6D couch – Hexapod facility
4. CLARITY – Ultrasound guided image verification (first in Tamil Nadu)
5. 18-channel HDR Microselectron for Brachytherapy
6. Biograph Horizon PET CT scanner (M/s Siemens, Germany)

Our VERSA HD enables advanced radiotherapy treatment techniques, including:

3. IGRT and VMAT (Rapid Arc)
4. Stereotactic treatment
5. Triple F treatment

From diagnosis to treatment, our facilities support us in managing various types of cancers. It enables accurate cancer staging and appropriate radiotherapy planning for each patient.
