Centre for Minimally invasive Spine Surgery

The Spine Surgery Division at Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC) is located on the second floor of B Block. It was established in 2006 and was the first dedicated spine centre in a teaching hospital in Tamil Nadu.

Pain in the back and neck is experienced by almost 85 percent of the population at some stage in life. The Spine Surgery Division at SRMC is dedicated to the recovery of patients.

Our clinic features internationally trained experts who provide comprehensive spine care ranging from non-surgical options to advanced and interventional surgeries.
The section of Spinal Deformity is headed by Dr. Karthik Kailash, who is well versed in minimally invasive and endoscopic spine surgery with wide exposure working in the USA, the UK, and Austria in scoliosis correction. Training of future spine surgeons is also an important role which is played by the Division. It is a regional training centre recognised by the Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association. Specialists from every geography visit to train on complex, minimal invasive, and endoscopic spinal procedures.
